The first step in advising a business owner is to develop a clear picture of the history, current state of the business and your future plans. Initially we will provide you with an obligation free one-hour consultation to identify your needs and assess whether we are able to add value to your business.

The next step is then for one of the BDN Consultants to conduct a Business Development Audit on your business.  The cost of this is usually in the range of  $500 (+GST) but can vary according to the individual client needs.

The Business Development Audit has three key benefits:

During your 2 hour Business Development Audit we will undertake a detailed analysis of your business to compare it with best practice standards for small to medium enterprises in New Zealand.  This process will clarify your future goals and identify the opportunities for growth and development of your business. We will identify strategies to develop your competitive advantage, how to build the capability required in your business (eg people, organisation structures, technology, advisory team etc) and where improvements are required to the core business processes and systems.  A key focus is to identify how to improve the profitability of the business and build value in your business asset to support your preferred exit strategies.

2.      To provide you with a detailed report and identify where your business would benefit from strengthening your advisory team

Following the audit we will prepare a detailed report that summarises our analysis of your business and outlines the recommended strategies to achieve the goals and outcomes you have defined for your business. We will also provide advice on how to address specific problems noted during the audit.  This will challenge you to think about your business in new ways to understand its true potential and identify for you the value and benefits that a strong advisory team will bring to your business.

3.      To explore whether we could work together and introduce you to products and services and business relationships
